Anna Dunleavy, age 95, was born June 6, 1929 and spent her life in Philadelphia. Daughter of the late Margaret (nee Rodgers) and Bernard Dunleavy, sister of the late Rev. Bernard J. Dunleavy, OSA “Sonny”, Anna attended Our Mother of Consolation Grade School and Little Flower High School. Right out of high school she was hired by Beneficial Savings Bank, starting as a teller at the main office at 12th and Chestnut Street. Her next assignment was in the back office as secretary and support for the Senior Vice President. She eventually moved to the Investment department where she was promoted to Assistant Treasurer, serving 46 years as an employee of the bank. She enjoyed 30 years of retirement volunteering at Our Mother of Consolation, Saint Joseph Villa, travelling to Ireland, spoiling a succession of pet cats and playing her beloved lottery. Anna was relentlessly Irish, loyal, cheerful and generous. Her family, friends and fans will deeply miss her.

Funeral Mass Thursday, December 19, 2024, 10:30AM at St. Joseph Villa, 110 W. Wissahickon Ave., Flourtown, PA 19031. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
