Anna Cecile Dupre Trosclair

Anna Cecile Dupre Trosclair, on the evening of May 1, 2024, after a long battle of many illnesses, walked into the Kingdom of Heaven into the arms of Jesus. She was born January 30, 1941, in Point-Aux-Chenes, Louisiana. Her husband, Andrew Trosclair (recently deceased) and she had been residents of Metairie Louisiana for the past 50+ years. She had three children: son Cory (wife Lisa), son Troy (wife Sharon), and daughter Tonya. She had nine grandchildren: Tiffany (husband Chris), David (wife Brittani), Chantal (husband Brandon), Brittany (husband Blair), Nicole (husband John "Jack"), Dustin (wife Samantha), Emily (husband Jacob), Ashley (fiancé Mossy), and Hannah (husband Riley). She was blessed with fifteen great grandchildren: Harper, Ellie, Isabella, Harlow, Brantley, Hunter, Michael, Lillianna, Zachary, Bowie, Henry, Briggs, David III, Winifred, and Krue (on the way). She is also survived by three brothers: Kirby Dupre, Linwood "T-Lin" Dupre, and Carroll Dupre and many in-laws. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years Andrew Trosclair; her parents Clarence Dupre and Emily Brunet; and her brothers and sisters: Norris Dupre, Danis Dupre, Alida "Da" Naquin, Vesta Dupre Ford, Norbert Dupre, Alton Dupre, Clarence Dupre Jr., Emelie Dupre Savoie, Judy Dupre Lapeyrouse, Arlene Dupre, and Cory Dupre.
Anna only competed the 4th grade in order to help the family with bayou life (fishing and trapping). In addition to caring for family and friends, she had other jobs such as working in the shrimp factory. She married the love of her life and was a devoted housewife. Her passion in life was sewing and quilting along with dancing with Andrew to Cajun music or 50's music. She loved her Cajun heritage and continued to speak her 1st language, French, up to her final days. She truly loved and adored her husband, her children, her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.
A funeral service will be held Thursday May 9, 2024, at L. A. Muhleisen and Son Funeral Home, 2607 Williams Blvd., Kenner, La. 70062. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. with a service following at 3:00 p.m.
