Anna Myrle Austin Elliott, 93, of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday, June 26, 2025, at her home.
Mrs. Elliott was born October 26, 1931, in Apache, Oklahoma, to the late Mick William Austin and Bertha Myrle McDaniel Austin. She was reared and received her education in Apache, where she graduated from Boone Apache High School.
She married Allen Charles Elliott on October 28, 1952, in Cement, Oklahoma.
Mrs. Elliott had worked at Jicarilla Apache National Indian Reservation Tribal Reservation in Dulce, New Mexico before going to work at Farmers Home Administration in Tahlequah, Oklahoma from which she retired.
She was a member of Tahlequah First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of almost 40 years, Allen C. Elliott, and seven siblings, Melvin Austin, Lawrence Austin, Dale Austin, Carol Austin, Forest Austin, Tom Austin, and Zelma Lou Austin.
She is survived by her son, Robert Allen Elliott and his wife Jill; daughter, Ruth Elliott Poteete and her husband, Fred; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; her loving caregivers, Chelsie and Clint Rogers, Bowen and Lakely, Dawan Blackmon, and Sudie Mills; two sisters-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as many friends.
There will be a visitation on Monday, June 30, 2025, 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM, at Hart Funeral Home in Tahlequah.
The graveside service will be Monday, June 30, 2025, at 2:30 PM, at Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma.
