Anna L. Farthing

Anna Lee Farthing was born in Jackson Co. on January 24, 1937, to the late Elmer and Rosetta (Isaacs) Marcum and passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at the Marcum and Wallace Hospital in Irvine, she was 88 years old.
Anna lived in Cincinnati, Ohio most of her adult life, but moved back to Irvine, Kentucky a couple of years ago to be close with family and friends. She retired from Wizard Maid Service.
She is survived by a grandson Jason Ray Marcum. Her great and great great-grandchildren; Jayla Adams (Jay), J.J. Marcum, Marlee Marcum, Adam Ray Marcum, Hannah Grace Gillum, Tyler Ray Marcum, Emerson and Karlie Adams and Grayson Isaacs. Her stepchildren, Kenny, Scotty, Michael and Joseph Farthing. As well as her sisters Arlene Clark, Geraldine Fowler, Opal Hogeback and Sheila Cox.
In addition to her parents Anna was preceded in death by her husband Sonny Farthing. A son, Danny Ray Marcum, a grandson Joey Marcum and one great great-grandson Oliver Adams. Her four brothers Eugene Marcum, Farris Marcum, Kenneth Marcum and Junior Marcum as well as two sisters Wanda Barker and Ina Faye Murphy.
Funeral Services for Anna will be held at 2 P.M. on Monday, December 1, 2025, with Bro. Jerry Rose officiating. Burial will follow in the Marcum Cemetery located in the Drip Rock Area. Pallbearers include Adam Marcum, Tyler Marcum, J.J. Marcum, Lanny Isaacs, Sean Young and Preston Young.
A visitation will begin at 12 Noon on Monday December 1.
