Anna V. Janis

Anna V. Janis, age 92 of Wilmington, DE, formerly of Lewes DE, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2023 at Wilmington Hospital. Born and raised in Philadelphia PA., Anna was a seamstress for many years before retiring in 1993. She was a faith-filled woman who enjoyed church, crocheting and, upon retirement, going to the casino, playing Bingo, and traveling to Europe. Anna was the daughter of The Late Stephanie and Joseph Janis. Anna is preceded in death by her sister, Joan Ewing. She is survived by her loving sister, Helen Cortez, brother, Joseph Janis, and niece and nephew, who were caregivers, Lisa Grostas and John Ewing. She is also survived by several great nieces and great nephews. A burial service will be held on Friday, February 3, 2023, 11:00 at Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, PA.
