Obituary of Joseph V. Cutrufello

Joseph V. Cutrufello ("Joe"), age 94, of Boothwyn, PA, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2026.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Joe was the son of the late Vincent and Angelica (nee Arizzi) Cutrufello. A resident of Boothwyn for the past 25 years, he previously lived in Norwood, PA. Joe dedicated his career to AT&T, where he worked as a Telecom Installer until his retirement.

Joe was a man of simple pleasures and steadfast loyalties. A lifelong fan of Philadelphia sports, he never missed a chance to cheer on his Eagles and Phillies. He remained remarkably active into his 90s, frequently found at Conchester Lanes where he was an avid league bowler until quite recently. Joe always enjoyed a competitive game of Pinochle. Above all, he cherished his family, especially the time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Catherine (Abate) Cutrufello, who passed away in 2012, and his brother, Roger Cutrufello.

He is survived by his four children: Jim (Mariane) Cutrufello, Rita (Gregg) Powell, Catherine (Vince) Fida, and Carol (Anthony) Aruffo. He was the proud grandfather of 11: Sherri (Derek) Schultz, Nicholas (Rachael) Cutrufello, Keith (Emma) Cutrufello, Gregg (Stefanie) Powell Jr., Carolyn Powell, Christopher Fida, Anthony (Juliana) Fida, Angela (Brett) Kuzinski, Natalie Fida, Lydia Aruffo, and Charlie Aruffo; and the great-grandfather of seven: Jake, Augustin, Lorenzo, Orin, Lotte, Mackenzie, and Hunter.

Service Information: A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2026, from 9:30–10:30 AM at St. John Fisher Catholic Church, 4225 Chichester Ave., Boothwyn, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 AM. Interment will take place at S.S. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.

Memorial Contributions: In lieu of flowers, donations in Joe's memory may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research at http://bit.ly/3ZFYtDL. Online condolences may be shared at www.paganofuneralhome.com.
