Lynette D. Cutrufello

Lynette Denise Cutrufello, 53, of Akron, OH, went to be with the Lord on November 16th, 2023.

Lynette was born on May 1st, 1970, to Douglas and Marilyn Vanek in Akron, OH. After Lynette graduated from Ellet High School in 1988, she went on to study Nursing at The University of Akron. After graduating with a degree in Nursing, she started her first job at Summa Healthcare kickstarting a 30-year career.

In 1990, Lynette met Paul Cutrufello at the Twin Value on Howe Ave. in Cuyahoga Falls where she worked as a cashier. Lynette and Paul went on to have 2 children, Dominic and Mia.

Lynette enjoyed walking her dogs, traveling, reading, riding her e-bike and relaxing in her three-season room, specially built for her by her husband.

Lynette was preceded in death by her mother, Marilyn Vanek; her grandparents, Lester and Goldie Wilson, James and Frances Vanek; and her uncle, Ken Wilson. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Paul, and her 2 children, Dominic and Mia; her father, Douglas Vanek (Sharon Vanek); and her brother, Robert Vanek (Linda Vanek).

Calling hours will be held at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home (547 Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44312) on Friday, December 1st, 2023, from 5pm-8pm.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at First Evangelical Church (369 E. Woodsdale Ave. Akron, OH 44301) on Saturday, December 2nd. There will be an additional hour of calling at the church starting at 12:30pm and the funeral service will be from 1:30pm-2:45pm. An NEO Nurse Honor Guard will perform a Nightingale Tribute at the beginning of the service. There will be a memorial dinner following the service at Guy's Party Center (500 E. Waterloo Rd. Akron, OH 44319) at 3:00pm.
