Anna Rebecca Kerr Goode

Anna Rebecca Kerr Goode died unexpectedly Aug 8, 2024 in Raleigh NC at age 42. She is survived by her parents, Charles and Carolyn Kerr of Raleigh NC, a brother Michael (Michael Williams) Kerr of Durham NC and her son, Brent Harrison Goode of Raleigh NC, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. She is predeceased by her grandparents, Robert (Bob) & Vivienne Leon Kerr and Charles Albert Martin & Roberta Perkins Martin, aunts, Noel Kerr and Karen Martin Philips, and uncles, Jeffrey Kerr and David Martin.
Anna was born in Raleigh, NC where she attended Our Lady of Lourdes ES and Cardinal Gibbons HS before heading to Berry College in Rome, GA where she graduated with a BA in Business Communications.
After college Anna worked in the insurance industry in Greenville, SC before returning to Raleigh for a job in marketing with Abercrombie & Fitch. She eventually found her way to Chick-fil-A to work in marketing and events. She brought to her job creativity and fun as she created memorable experiences for her guests whether it was Cow Appreciation day, a mother/daughter tea or creating homemade treat bags for her guests.
Anna loved every holiday, decorating to the hilt and celebrating each one with fervor. Her faithful (and patient) boxer, Achilles also got in on the action with costumes and outfits for every occasion.
Sports were part of her life from an early age, from soccer and basketball, volleyball and softball to cheerleading and cross country in college. During her college years she developed a passion for the Georgia Bulldogs and became one of their most avid fans.
When her son was born he was the center of her universe. She loved creating special moments and making the ordinary magical with her imaginative and whimsical spin. She indulged him through every phase, trucks, firefighters, Paw Patrol, Legos, Pokemon, exotic cars and soccer. She was his biggest cheerleader.
Anna will be remembered for her ability to reach out to friends and family and help anyone with a request for help. She was artistic, creative and loved to bake. She had an ability to bring Zing to any occasion with her artistic flair.
A funeral service for Anna will be held Saturday, September 28th at 11:00AM at Church the Nativity, 8849 Ray Rd in Raleigh, NC. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to a charity close to your heart.
