Anna M. Lunsford

1945 - 2025

Anna M. Harris Lunsford, 80, of Andrews, N.C., passed away Sunday, Dec. 14, 2025, at Erlanger Western Carolina Hospital.
A resident of Cherokee County for more than 50 years, she was born in Athens, Tenn., on July 16, 1945, to the late Charlie and Mary Harris.
Anna made her career for more than 30 years at Coats American in Marble, N.C.
She was of the Baptist faith, being a member of Marble Springs Baptist Church for many years then later joining Valley River Baptist Church in Andrews. Anna was an active member of the Eastern Stars, Chapters No. 15 and No. 320, an avid supporter of her church, the Shriners and the Eastern Stars.
She never met a stranger, always having a kind word for anyone and everyone.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Mary (Ashe) Harris; sister, Sarah Hawkins; brothers, Jack, Joe, Clyde and Glen Harris; first husband, Bill Taylor; and second husband, Buddy Lunsford.
Surviving to carry on her memory are Charles (Michelle) Taylor, Michael Taylor, Misty Wood (Tim) and Melody Lunsford; grandchildren, Miranda O'Kelley (Kyle), William Taylor (Taylor), Austin Murphy, Nahayla Taylor, Colton Burch, Callie Brock, Carlie Taylor, Chloe Taylor, Samuel Wood, Joy Wood, William Wood, O'Ryan Brockwell and Harmony Phillips; great-grandchildren, Sebastian and Enya Murphy; and her sisters, Margaret Hawkins, Pat Phillips (David), Margie Couey (Frank), Lonna Harris and Dorothy Sewell (Frankie).
There are also some very special people she held dear to her heart, Annie Bryson, Marcil Hurt, Claudia Burch, Connie Hathcox, Patricia Wright, Joy Taylor, John Lightfoot and Martha Greene.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17, at Townson-Rose Chapel in Andrews with Pastor Rolin Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Moss Cemetery in Marble. Pallbearers will be William Taylor, Kyle O'Kelley, Colton Burch, Tim Wood, William Wood and O'Ryan Brockwell.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17, at Townson-Rose Chapel in Andrews.
