Anna Bertha Madrid

Anna Romero, 68 of Las Vegas, New Mexico was taken to heaven on 03/08/2026 . She passed away peacefully in her home. She was born in Durango, Mexico, in 1957. She came to the United States on a college education study abroad program. She was living in Grants, NM, while she was furthering her education, when she met her husband, Johnny Romero. They were married and had one son, Juan Carlos Romero. She received her United States citizenship in 1996, which she worked very hard for. Anna is survived by her husband, Johnny Romero; son, Juan C. Romero, and his partner, Sabrina Trujillo; granddaughter, Jasmine Romero; and grandson, Diego Valerio. Her brother, Jesus Ortiz, and family. Special friends: Darlene, Marci, Kathy, Josefina, Maryann, and numerous others.
We all need to take a page out of Anna's book on how to be kind and help others without expecting anything in return. Anna will be severely missed but she is in a better place and left a milestone of memories in her families hearts.

Rosary services will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at Our Lady of Sorrows Church at 9:00AM with Funeral Mass to follow. Burial will follow services at St. Anthony Cemetery in Las Vegas, NM.
