Anna Mae "Ann" Mahoney, 82, of Carlisle, passed away on January 30, 2026.
Born in Carlisle on November 2, 1943, Ann is the daughter of the late Bruce H. Lay and Martha E. (Brownawell) Lay.
Ann is a graduate of the Big Spring High School class of 1962. She then went on to work her entire career span as a secretary for the Carlisle Hospital. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, puzzles, reading, listening to music, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed going on vacations with her husband, Richard. Their favorite destinations included Rehobeth Beach, Tennessee, and Maine.
Ann is survived by her three daughters, Vicki (husband Gregory) Darr, Pamela (husband James Jr.) Burkholder, and Sheri (husband Todd) Deihl, all of Carlisle; one son, Mark Mahoney (Fiance Jenny Manley) of Carlisle; one sister, Bertha (husband William) Beidel of Carlisle; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and 2 step-great-grandchildren.
Ann is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Richard E. "Dick" Mahoney.
A graveside memorial service will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
