Mrs. Anna Pearline Yates Mason was born February 25, 1931, in Savoyard, Kentucky, Metcalf County, to Annie Brewer and John Yates. She retired from Riley Hospital after 42 years of service.
Pearline, as she was known to family and close friends, professed hope in Christ and gave her life to him at an early age, joining Old Blue Spring Baptist Church.
Pearline was united in holy matrimony to James Mason, and to this union three children were born. Throughout her life one thing remained constant, and that was her love of God. She was a member of New Garfield Baptist Church for over fifty years, serving on the Nurse’s board, singing in the choir, helping in the pantry group, and the Missionary Circle.
Mrs. Anna Pearline Yates Mason went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday September 11, 2023, at the age of 93 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Mason Sr.; son, James Mason Jr.; stepson, John Clark; brother, William B. Yates and Hermon C. Yates; two sisters, Arneva Hendrickson and Orene Walker; brothers-in-law, Robert Miller, Joe Mason, Walter Mason, George Mason, and Vester Mason; sisters-n-law, Mary Julie Gatewood, Frances Gatewood-Maxey, Lillian Mason-Duff, Christine Gatewood-Maxey and Vera Mason-Easley.
