Anna Renee Matlock of Madisonville, Texas, was born on July 23, 2000 in Springfield, Missouri. She moved to Neosho, Missouri at the age of 5 and graduated Neosho High School Class of 2018. She remained there until moving to Texas with her fiancé Laine Doty in 2023 to pursue her lifelong dream of working with horses. She was a skilled cosmetologist and barber as well as an exceptional equestrian. Anna had worked tirelessly in the equestrian world and had recently been awarded contracts with the Southwest Quarter Horse and New Mexico Quarter Horse Associations as show secretary.
Anna departed this earthly world for her Heavenly reward on Jan. 7, 2026 after a tragic auto accident.
Anna was a member at Faith Lutheran Church in Mexia, Texas which she attended with her Grandmother Annette.
Anna is survived by her fiancé Laine Doty and his parents Dale and Joyce and soon to be siblings Ashley Allhands, Trevor Doty, Jessica Johnson, Chase Doty. Anna will also be missed by her beloved cats Kuro, Murphy, and Chell.
Mother and Stepdad-Heather and Tim Dollins, Father- Jason Matlock, Siblings- Brylea, AJ, Timmy and Alyssa. Maternal Grandparents- Annette and Mike McCloskey, Ken Turner. Great Grandmother- Constance Gerdts. Uncle- Nathan Lyne and wife Haley. Paternal Grandparents- Tammy and Grady Fuson, Gary and Victoria Matlock. Along with numerous nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
Anna leaves a legacy of love and influence that will live on through those that had the exceptional honor to know and love her.
Memorial Service will be held at Faith Lutheran Church in Mexia, TX on Jan. 11, 2026 at 2pm. An additional service will be held in Neosho, MO at a later date.
