MUNROE FALLS - Anna M. Niemann, age 97, passed away in Aurora, Ohio, on August 2, 2025.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Calvin; parents, Cecil and Vera (nee Fawley) Smith and her siblings, Edward Smith, Mary McFarland, Barbara Madonio and Cecil (Woodie) Smith.

Anna is survived by her children, Valerie (Greg) Moga and James (Jennifer) Niemann; grandchildren, Katie (Nate) Gesmundo, Vicki (Dan) Breon and Joshua and Christa Niemann; great-grandchildren, Sophie and Hailey Gesmundo, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Anna was born in Crawford County, Ohio, and raised with her brothers and sisters in Bucyrus, Ohio. She was a draftsman at Goodyear Aerospace where she worked on the design of airship cars.

She married in 1960 and stayed home to raise her children in Munroe Falls. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, active in bowling leagues, the Munroe Falls Garden Club, and the Munroe Falls Historical Society. Anna used her artistic talent to create artwork for the garden club and the city of Munroe Falls. She so enjoyed having family get togethers, especially on holidays, treasured all her family, far and near and always asked about them frequently.

May her love, kindness and devotion to family live on in our hearts forever.
