Richard A. Spradlin

Richard A. Spradlin, "Rick," 75, passed away on February 24, 2026.

Born in Stow, Ohio, Rick graduated from Stow High School before continuing his education at Kent State University. He built his family's first home in Loveland, Ohio, later relocating to Cherry Hill, New Jersey, and eventually settling in Media, Pennsylvania, where he made his home for more than 25 years.

Rick dedicated his career to labor relations in the trucking industry, earning respect for his steady leadership and commitment to his work. Outside of his professional life, he found quiet satisfaction in tending his pond and garden, pursuits that reflected his patience and care. He took particular joy in creating elaborate annual Halloween displays, a tradition that delighted family and friends alike. Rick also treasured time spent on family vacations and fishing trips, memories that remained close to his heart.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Irene Spradlin, and by his former wife, Carol Staubach.

Rick is survived by his children, Dan Spradlin (Lisa) and Elizabeth Filler (Rob); his sister, Sue Mayer (Larry); and his beloved grandchildren, Gio, Tess, Leo, Robby, and Maddy, who brought him immense pride and happiness.
