Anna Niro Obituary
She was born in Pacentro, Abruzzo Italy on June 3, 1940, the daughter of the late Antonio and Adelina Colangelo Pacella. She emigrated to the United States in 1958.
A dear friend to so many, Emma was an artistic seamstress, cook, baker and hostess. She took pride in her ceramics. Especially her prized Santa Clauses from around the world, birds, and handmade ceramic decorations for every holiday. Up until the end, she maintained her kindness, appreciation of beauty and love for family and cherished friends. She had a heart of gold.
She was women's league bowler for over 60 years, a member of the Pacentrani Club of Youngstown Ladies Auxiliary and an avid member of the Davis YMCA.
She leaves behind a loving family and that will miss her dearly. Daughters, Lena Niro and Deb (Paul) Guzman of Poland; sons, Domenic (Gina) Niro of North Royalton and Michael Niro of Poland; grandchildren, Anthony Guzman, Carmela Guzman and Domenic Charles Niro were Mama's pride and joy; brothers, Patsy (Anna Marie) Pacella, Mario (Frances) Pacella; sister, Velia Pacella Sellers; sisters-in-law Pina (Albert) Pacella, Toni (Ozzie) Furano and Jennie (Marc) Dilisio and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased in 2015 by her loving husband, Gus Niro, whom she married on April 20, 1963; brother Albert Pacella; and sister-in-law Mary (Mathew) DeLisio.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 pm. on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Avenue in Boardman. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025 at 10 am at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home followed by an 11 am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Nicholas Church of Christ Our Savior Parish.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Walter Passarello and staff and Dr. Miriam Jacob.
