Anna Marie Reimer, 53, of Warsaw, died unexpectedly from natural causes at her home on Sunday evening November 10, 2024.
She was born on January 14, 1971, in Columbia City, Indiana, as the daughter of Larry P. and Sandra K. (Bevington, Carter) Eakright. Growing up in Thorncreek Twp., she completed Thorncreek School and graduated from Columbia City Joint High School in 1989. She continued her education at the University of St. Francis, Fort Wayne, earning a Bachelor of Science in Communications.
On September 2, 1996, she married Todd LaMar Reimer. They have always made their home in the Columbia City and Warsaw area.
In addition to being a full-time homemaker raising twin daughters, she worked for Whitley County Consolidated Schools as a substitute teacher and teacher's aide.
She had attended St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church. She loved her many dogs, providing a safe and caring place for all she could handle. She was an advocate for a tobacco-free society, she supported Whitley County Tobacco Free Society. She delighted in shopping, and when unable, she watched YouTube vlogs about shopping. Her granddaughter was her pride and joy, visiting whenever possible.
Surviving is her husband, Todd; their twin daughters, Dorian (Saurabh) Singh of Warsaw and Tessah R. Reimer of Warsaw; a granddaughter, Ajooni Singh; her father, Larry Carter of Columbia City; brothers, Christopher (Roxsann) Carter of Tri-Lakes, Patrick (Amy) Carter of Churubusco and Mike (Cindy) Carter of Lebanon, PA; and a step-brother, Mike Eakright of Indianapolis.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Sandra Eakright, and a brother, Mark Carter.
A graveside service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday (Nov 13th) at the South Whitley Cemetery, 7500 W State Road 14, South Whitley. Arrangements are in the care of Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City.
