Anna Rosse Obituary
She was born in North Adams, MA on July 7, 1928 the daughter of Alfred and Anna Johnson of Monroe Bridge, MA. In 1947, she graduated from Drury High School.
Anna was married to Joseph John Rosse (now deceased) on June 24, 1950 at St Joachim Church in Readsboro, VT and resided in the Greylock section of North Adams, MA for most of her life.
Anna enjoyed 38 years of employment as a floral designer for the former Quadland's Flowers and Gifts. During her lifetime she had many hobbies and interests such as wild plant foraging, swimming, gardening, painting and traveling.
Anna was a member of the North Adams Garden Club as well as a member of the Friends of the North Adams Public Library. She was a communicant, a Eucharistic minister and a member of the Rosary Society of St Elizabeth of Hungary Church (formerly known as St. Anthony of Padua Church).
She leaves her daughter Margaret Rossi-Howard, her husband Fredrick Rossi-Howard of South Burlington, VT, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
There will be no calling hours. A Funeral Mass and Burial will be celebrated Friday, May 10, 2024 at 1:00 at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. The omission of flowers is requested. Please make memorial donations to Mass Audubon Society, North Adams Public Library, MASS MoCA or a charity of your choice through the Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Home, 74 Marshall Street, North Adams, MA 01247.
