Anna Ruth Madrid Obituary

I am a mother, and that was always the greatest gift of my life. I loved my children with an intensity that knew no limits, with a simple and profound love—one expressed through hugs, repeated words, and always being present, even when I seemed lost in my own thoughts.

A memorial service will be Saturday January 17, 2026 1:00 PM at the chapel of Lord & Stephens Funeral Homes. The family will receive family and friends prior to the service from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

I loved life with joy. I enjoyed laughing, talking, telling stories, and finding beauty in the small things. I was eloquent, enthusiastic, and optimistic; I believed in the light even on cloudy days. At times I was a bit absent-minded, it’s true, but my heart was always attentive to what truly mattered.

Animals held a special place in my soul. In them, I saw tenderness, loyalty, and a pure form of love. I always wanted to protect them, care for them, and speak to them as if they understood my words, because I felt that, in some way, they did.

I lived with gratitude for every shared moment, every laugh, and every mutual lesson. If there is something I wish to be remembered for, it is that I loved deeply, that I lived with joy, and that my greatest pride was being a mother.

Today, I say goodbye in peace, knowing that the love I planted will continue to live on in those I loved.
