Julia Ann Brooks was born on January 14, 1963, in Athens, Georgia. She lived a life dedicated to caring for others through her work as a nurse. Julia passed away on February 11, 2026, in Elberton, Georgia. Julia is survived by her children, Bill (Danielle) Gaddis, Judy Gordon, Beth Burgess, Samantha (David) Zabinski, Emily Brooks, and Travis Brooks and her mother Carolyn Pritchett. She was a loving grandmother to Zeke and Kaitlyn Gaddis, Kiara Cade, Bryanna Powers, Meghan Waldroup, Zacc Waldroup, Omarie Elder, and Will Scarborough. Julia also cherished her great-grandchildren, Finley, Kamari, Jakai, Kyndall, Kannan, Kingston, and Rosalee. Julia is remembered by her brother, Thomas Pritchett, and her sister, Jeannie Huff. At the time of her passing, she was engaged to Terry Anderson. Julia was preceded in death by her husband, William Jerry Brooks, Jr., her father, Eugene Pritchett and her grandson, Julian Clark. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at 2PM at New Bethel Church, 462 Parham Town Road, Royston, GA 30662.
