Her parents, Eleanor and John, preceded her in death. She is survived by her elder twin sister, Anita Jo Johnson, her brother Roy Neal Scott, and her daughter, Joanna Scott. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Richelle Sheppard and her children, Chrissy Johnson, John Johnson, Robert Scott, and Mary Scott, as well as her grandchildren, Faith Pettitt, Sewell Pettitt, and John Pettitt.
Anita Jo and Anna Jane were same sac, mirror image, identical twins born in
Martinsville, VA. They grew up mostly in Texas, as they moved to Houston at the age of 2, then Lamesa until high school, then finished their education in Dallas. As kids, they sang together, studied piano, and participated in several twin competitions and even had the opportunity to sing with the Everly Brothers. Between the two, Jane was the outgoing and mischievous one of the twins. She was also the messiest, her family affectionately referred to her as the real Pigpen (from the Peanuts). She completed her degree in Childhood Psychology but found her career at the age of 16 in cosmetics. She started developing her make-up artistry skills as a Revlon Counter Agent and eventually moved into her role as an Estee Lauder Cosmetic Specialist – which she dedicated her love and time to for over 50 years. The last 30 years she was the face of the Estee Lauder counter at Dillard's Winrock in Albuquerque. She adored her customers and her work family dearly. Jane loved her daughter and her grandchildren immensely. She always tried to make memories, and her love language was in gift giving. She faced the potential of death many times in her life and did her best to live in the present moment – she ate the dessert first, enjoyed good meals with friends, helped people when she could, and loved without abandon. More than anything, she loved Jesus and was very devout in her faith. She also loved to dance before she was unable to and loved to write poetry, which most of her poems are lost to time. For those who knew her, Jane would want you to remember the happy memories and to make sure that you know that you are loved. This isn't goodbye, it's just see you later.
