Anna Lou Seal, 71, of Stephens City, Virginia died Sunday, December 9, 2007 in her home.

Mrs. Seal was born in 1936, in Winchester, Virginia the daughter of the late Charles Smith Alger and Georgianna Alger McCarty. She was in partnership with her husband, owning and operating Save-On Pest Control. Mrs. Seal was a member of Calvary Church of the Brethren in Winchester, where she served on the Church Board, Nurture Commission, Women's Fellowship and taught Sunday School and VBS. She was also a member of the Women of the Moose, Women Eagles and a life member of the Millwood Station Volunteer Rescue Squad. Mrs. Seal catered, made wedding cakes and was a seamstress making wedding and bridesmaid gowns. She also judged fair events/activities. Mrs. Seal was a graduate of Lord Fairfax Community College, receiving her Associates Degree.

Her husband, Holmes "Buck" Seal, whom she married on December 2, 1960, at Sunnyside Presbyterian Church, Winchester, preceded her in death on August 12, 2004.

Surviving are two sons Billy L. Seal of Winchester, Virginia, Bryan L. Seal and his wife Donna of Frederick County, Virginia, her daughter, Lisa M. Heronimus and her husband Lynn of Langdon, North Dakota; seven grandchildren, Emily Seal Payne, Bryan F. Seal, Andrew B. Heironimus, Jessie T. Seal, Tiffany M. Seal, Christopher M. Seal and Linwood Heironimus III; her great granddaughter, Amelia R. Seal; sisters, Betty Davis of Hagerstown, Maryland, Margaret West and Patricia Prokopovitch; brothers, James Alger, Joseph Alger, Phillip Alger all of Winchester, Virginia and David Alger of Knoxville, Tennessee.

She is preceded in death by a step-son, Gary A. Seal, her sisters, Doris Baker and Emily Hawthorne; brothers, Charles Alger, Walter Alger and Theodore "Teddy" Alger.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Thursday, at Calvary Church of the Brethren, with Reverend Clarence "Chuck" Davis, J. Floyd Wine, and Reverend Reese Davis officiating. Interment will be in Mount Hebron Cemetery, Winchester, Virginia.

Pallbearers will be Robert Seal, Nicholas Payne, Bryan F. Seal, Andrew Heironimus, Jessie Seal and Christopher Seal.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
