Anna Sparr Obituary

Anna Christine Sparr, age 99, of Bel Air, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 11, 2026. Born in Baltimore, Ann lived a full and faithful life rooted in family, tradition, and devotion to her Catholic faith.

She was the beloved daughter of the late Adam Sparr and Christine (Keil) Sparr. In addition to her parents, Anna was preceded in death by her brothers, Leroy Sparr, Henry Sparr, and Daniel Sparr Sr., and her sisters, Margaret Tine, and Barbara Sparr.

Ann is lovingly survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends who will cherish her memory.

A devoted Catholic, Ann was a no-nonsense, straightforward woman who was quick to let you know how she felt about things while always being kind with her words. She cherished her family and treasured the time spent with them. She enjoyed watching baseball and golf and the occasional trip to the casino. "Aunt Ann" loved playing cards and bingo with her family, particularly the youngest generation. Blessed with a sharp mind, she was the keeper of family history - able to recall details of past generations effortlessly and accurately and always liked to be updated on family affairs.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at 10:00 AM at St. Margaret Catholic Church, Hickory Avenue, Bel Air. A graveside service will follow at Bel Air Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Margaret Catholic Church.

Anna will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her remarkable memory, her love of family, and the strength and kindness she showed throughout her 99 years of life.
