Anna Spivey, 81, of Langdon, ND, passed away November 22, 2025, at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND.
Anna Margaret Valentine was born March 25, 1944, in Grafton, ND, to William and Fannie (Dew) Valentine. She grew up in the Wales area and graduated from Langdon High School. She entered the Woman Army Corp branch of the US Army in 1962 and was honorably discharged in 1964. She married Linwood Spivey in Langdon on May 24, 1964. They lived in various communities across the US until moving to the Langdon area. Anna worked a variety of jobs and volunteered to support her community. She was a strong advocate for veterans and very active in the American Legion.
Surviving Anna are her sons: Thomas (Deb) of Roseville, MN, and John “Howie” of Greensea, SC; grandson Charles Spivey; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Linwood, and brother Tom (Marie) Valentine.
A graveside service will be held in the spring at Hannah Cemetery.
