Beverly Joan Gellner, age 83, of Langdon, ND, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2026, surrounded by her children.
Beverly was born on March 13, 1942, in Harvey, ND, to Herbert and Helen (Fiesel) Johnson. She graduated from St. Alphonsus High School in 1960. She attended Mayville College and received an associate teaching certificate in 1962. Later, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education in 1985. She served the community with dedication as the Clerk of Court for Cavalier County from 1986 to 2009.
She married Kenny Gellner on December 26, 1963. Together they owned and operated Hi-Way Laundromat and Dry Cleaners for 30 years. She especially enjoyed spending time with friends, bowling, playing cards, and watching her children’s sports activities. Her faith was central to her life, and she was an active member of St. Alphonsus Parish, where she played piano and organ, sang in the choir, taught religious education, and was a member of Catholic Daughters.
She is survived by her children: Steve (Karen) Gellner, Jeff (Dawn) Gellner, and Janelle Day; her grandchildren: Brynn Okeson and Evan Gellner, Jeremy and Sarah Gellner, and Payton and Josh Rients; and her brother, Dick (Jackie) Johnson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Gellner; her parents, Herbert and Helen Johnson; her brothers: Herb Jr., Bob, and Ralph; and her sister, Rita Bruinsma.
A celebration of Beverly’s life will be held on February 13, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Alphonsus Church, with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m.
