Shirley Jean Gellner, age 86, went to be with the Lord December 2, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born August 9, 1939 in Woodland, WV; the daughter of the late Lawrence and Ilean Furbee Hemphill.

Shirley's faith in God was the foundation of her life. She was a long-time member of Temple Baptist Church and most recently attended The Cornerstone Church of God in Moundsville.

Shirley was co-owner of the former Gellner's Custom Sportswear along with her husband.

She was a proud member of the Red Hat Society and a volunteer at Reynolds Memorial Hospital for over 30 years where she primarily worked in the Gift Shop arranging flowers, she also enjoyed painting and was an expert seamstress.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James "Jim" Gellner and her brother, Roger Hemphill.

Survivors include her three sons, which she dearly loved, James Derek (Lynne) Gellner of Moundsville, Guy (Eve) Gellner of Wheeling, and Dustin Gellner of Moundsville; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren, a great great grandchild; and sister-in-law, Linda Hemphill.

Family will receive friends on Monday, December 8th from 11am until the time of the funeral service at 1pm at Grisells Funeral Home & Crematory, 400 Jefferson Avenue, Moundsville with Pastor Ronald Wilfong officiating.

Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Moundsville, WV.
