Anna Victoria Talton passed away peacefully at her home in Metairie, Louisiana in the presence of her family, on February 21, 2026, after courageously fighting a two and ½ year battle with pancreatic cancer. She was 51 years old. Anna was born on September 5, 1974 in Monroe and grew up in Bastrop. She is survived by her husband, William Justin Lambert, and her two children, Janna Lowry and Dylon Lambert. She is also survived by siblings, Kriste Talton Utley (Christopher), Stephen Eric Talton, and Julie Talton McCrory (Dane), and her nieces and nephews, Whitney Gentry Walkowski (Dustin), Seth McCrory, Symantha Talton Hughes (Landon), Harlan Thomas Utley, and Grace Utley, and her great nieces, Zoey and Josephine, as well as her beloved Maltipoo, Louis. She was predeceased by her mother, Georgia McGaha Talton, her father, Lee Talton, and her grandparents, Harlan and Helen McGaha of Bastrop, and Ben and Carrie Talton of Monroe.
After obtaining her LPN degree, Anna worked as a nurse in several facilities in North Louisiana, and later in the New Orleans area, most recently at St. Margaret’s Nursing Home and East Jefferson General Hospital. Throughout her years of nursing, she received numerous cards and mementos from families in appreciation for the true kindness and compassion she showed to their loved ones. Her sweetness and genuine concern for her patients were unmistakable. Anna enjoyed cooking, painting and drawing, and spending time with her family. She loved music, especially her favorite singer, Aaron Neville. She had a zany sense of humor (think Portlandia), a contagious laugh, and a beautiful smile. She cherished and adored her children with all of her being. Anna was deeply loved by her family and will be missed more than words could ever express.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday, February 27, 2026, at Mulhearn Funeral Home located at 2308 Sterlington Road in Monroe, Louisiana. A graveside service officiated by The Rev. Dawnell Stodghill will follow at 2:30 pm at the McGaha Memorial Cemetery (Redwing) located at LA-2 West at LA-582 in Goodwill/Oak Grove (West Carroll Parish), Louisiana. Pallbearers will be Christopher Utley, Dane McCrory, Seth McCrory, Dustin Walkowski, and Harlan Thomas Utley.
