Anna Tietjen Obituary
Anna Hofmann Tietjen, 89, of Waxhaw, NC passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026. She was born in Germany on April 17, 1936, daughter of the late Michael Hofmann and Anna Schmitt Hofmann. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Horst George Tietjen, grandson James Tietjen, two brothers, Heinrich Hofmann, Johann “Hans” Hofmann, and a sister, Hilda Priebusch (Kurt).
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Anna is survived by two sons, Ron Tietjen (Lisa), Jimmy Tietjen, a daughter, Heidi Saulpaugh (Hank), eight grandchildren, Helena Tietjen, Nicole Tietjen Evangelista (Michael), Joseph Tietjen, Dieter Tietjen, Olivia Eddings (Jacob), Andrew Saulpaugh, Timothy Saulpaugh, Julia Saulpaugh, great grandson, Nicholas, two brothers, Manfred Hofmann (Anne Marie), Josef “Zep” Hofmann and a sister-in-law, Christa Hofmann.
