Anna Winslow Obituary

Published by Legacy from Jul. 23 to Jul. 24, 2025.
We celebrate the life of a most beautiful heart and God Loving woman. Our dearest Oma, our Grandmother, our friend, Anna Winslow. May 3, 1921 - July 21 2025 At the most beautiful age of 104 years. She is preceded in death by her mother Babbette Morgner, sister Frieda Troeger, husband Dale Winslow, beloved son Gerald Morgner, grandson Toby Deal, great-grandson Jonathan Samuel & all of her lifelong friends. She is survived by her son Gerald's wife Dorothy Morgner; her grandchildren Laura Lange, Debbie Marshall, Heather Keylich, & Bill Morgner; Great-granddaughter's Lauren, Fayth, & Emily; Great-grandson's Jason, Christopher, Eric & Ryan. Born in southern Bavaria Germany growing up on a small farm. She often told stories of what she saw & experienced during the war. Some don't know that she was actually an athlete in school & ran many marathons. Grandma loved people & people loved her. If you ever visited, you never left hungry. This was her love language. As a young lady she was an excellent seamstress & also trained at a castle in Austria as a cook & a baker to learn the trade. Grandma & Daddy immigrated to America through Ellis Island in 1950. Going to dinner at her home, the table was always set with her finest China & Crystal. Napkins were made into decorations & we knew it was special when she carved the butter into Roses. Grandpa Dale was an American soldier prior to masonry & every holiday there were always soldiers invited to our table. Grandma truly was the hostess & everyone who knew her all believed they were her best friend. Camping with her as children she was still the hostess at the park. Bringing a roaster & making turkey under a tree that would sustain us the whole weekend with good food & leftovers for sandwiches. A tradition at 4:00 p.m. on any day; there was coffee & dessert, usually someone enjoying her company. Grandma loved to garden, cook, crochet, needlepoint & so many other passions. The list is long. All through her life she Bared Witness of her great faith & love of God & His miracles over her, that He never let her down. A beautiful Love & Foundation she shared with us all & for this we are forever grateful. Though our hearts are aching we know She is free of all pain & sorrow. With No more tears only Joy! Her wishes were for no services to be held. Just like her, not to want anyone to make a fuss. Thinking of everyone else as always. We all Love, honor & miss you Beyond words Dearest Omie! But We carry you in our hearts forever.... until we meet again. Matthew 25:23 And God said, "Well done good and faithful servant!". You were truly a blessing and a gift to many!
