Anna Coy Young

Anna M. Coy Young, 82, widow of Foster Taylor Young, died Monday, February 23rd, 2026 in Lancaster. Born May 29,1943 in Lexington, she was the daughter of the late Russell Sage and Mary Ed Simpson Coy. She was a Darby Square Nursing Assistant and a farmer. She attended Jessamine Christian Church and enjoyed gardening and cooking for her family and being with her family and especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include one son: Brown Young of Lancaster; two step sons: Jonny Young of Florida and Eddie Young of Mackville; one step-daughter: Patty Short of Lexington; eight grandchildren: Caleb Young, Cody Young, Emily Kelty, Andrea Young, Jimmy Young, Tommy Young, Andy Short and Lynn Short; eleven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her step-son: Sam Young and her twelve siblings.

Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, February 27, 2026 at the Peter's Cemetery with Steven Wainright officiating. Burial will follow in the cemetery with Troy Combs, Timmy Combs, Taylor Napier, Adam Stapp, Chris Cole, Caleb Young, Gus Caudill and Jackie Caudill serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home, Inc. and Cremation Services.
