Annabel Joice Gibson
Godfrey - Annabel Joice Gibson, 93, passed away October 28, 2024 at Alton Memorial Hospital.
Born November 26, 1930 in Louisville, IL, she was the daughter of Homer M. and Iva May (Douglas) McPeak.
She had worked in the Packing Department for Owens-IL Glass several years before retiring.
On March 17, 1985 in East Alton, she was married to Alvin Gibson. He died May 24, 1990.
Surviving are a son, Daly L. Ottwell of East Alton; a daughter, Linda C. "Cozy" Lindquist of Godfrey; nine grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; a step-great grandchild; three great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Katie Davis of Rosewood Heights.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two step-sons, Mike and Donald Gibson; daughter, Melody "Christine" Cunnigham; and brother, Leonard McPeak.
Visitation will be from 10 am until time of service at 12 pm, Tuesday, November 5 at Lovejoy United Presbyterian Church in Wood River. Pastor Daniel Ervin will officiate.
Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
Memorials are suggested to Lovejoy United Presbyterian Church in Wood River.
Marks Mortuary in Wood River in charge of arrangements.
