Annarose "Rose" Dion

Annarose Dion, 76, of Cloquet, MN, passed away peacefully on February 14th, 2026, at Diamond Willow Assisted Living after fighting that incurable disease called dementia.

Annarose, or Roseann to her family and friends, was born on October 31st, 1949, to William and Stella (Berkey) Bookin in Chicago, IL. She grew up in the Iverson area of Twin Lakes Township along with her brother, William Jr. (Bill) and they lived on a family farm. Annarose graduated from Carlton High School in 1968.

After she attended beauty school in Duluth, she met and married Jerry Dion on March 13th, 1971, and had three children, Howard, Nicole, and Kristine.

Roseann was a great mother and wife, and truly loved her family and many other friends. She worked all her life at jobs such as Cloquet Hospital, her day care business, Stearns manufacturing, and Wal-Mart. She had strong faith and was a proud member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church and was member of the Eagles Club.

Roseann loved bowling, golfing, playing bingo, fishing, camping, and watching the Minnesota Twins and Vikings with her husband.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Bill and Stella; in-laws, Howard Dion and Marianne Golen; and her daughter, Nicole Marie Pfisthner.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry; son, Howard (Betsy) Dion; daughter, Kristine Tindell; grandchildren, Kyle (Hailey) Dion, Kayla Tindell, Wyatt and Nicholas Pfisthner, Trevor (Claire) Johnson; great-grandchildren, Rylan, Maise, Everli, Amelia, Sage, Halo, and Milli, and brother, Bill Bookin Jr.; nieces, Michelle (Charlie) Ross, Paige (David) Poyerd, and Pam (Paul) Deroy; nephews, David Edin and Cody Golen; brother in law, Steve (Delmarie) Golen; sister in law, Renee Edin; and many other relatives and loved ones.

The family would like to thank Diamond Willow Assisted Living and Gentiva Hospice for their compassion and care for Roseann.

Per Roseann's wishes, a private family service will be held a later date.
