Anne Marie Barron, a cherished daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2025, in
Quincy, MA. Born on March 22, 1954, in
Boston, MA, Anne Marie was the beacon of joy and kindness in the lives of all who knew her. Her warm presence and constant smile were a comfort and inspiration to many.
As the beloved daughter of the late Joseph G. and Patricia A. Barron, Anne Marie was a testament to the loving environment in which she was raised. She grew up surrounded by her siblings, who will miss her dearly: John J. Barron and his wife Linda of Sherborn, Joseph G. Barron Jr. and his late wife Anne of Quincy, and Julie F. Barron and Gregory J. Goostray of Wellesley. Anne Marie's spirit will continue to live on through her many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews, who adored their Auntie Anne Marie for her playful heart and unwavering spirit.
Anne Marie was a proud graduate of Quincy High School. Her dedication to her work was unwavering, as she demonstrated throughout her career as an assembler for Sigma Corporation and Employ + Ability. Her hard work and commitment to excellence were recognized when she was honored at Gillette Stadium as the 2011 Employee Of The Year at Employ + Ability.
Anne Marie's interests and passions painted the picture of a life well-lived and full of purpose. Her happiness was contagious, and she never missed an opportunity to share a smile with friends during her daily coffee meetups at the Dunkin Donuts in Wollaston. Anne Marie's love for her family was profound, and she dedicated herself to volunteering, giving back to the community that she held so dear.
A lover of the physical activity, Anne Marie enjoyed swimming at the YMCA, where she was a familiar and friendly face to many. Her involvement with the Special Olympics was a significant part of her life, showcasing her athletic talent as she earned numerous medals. Anne Marie's achievements in the Special Olympics were a source of great pride and joy, not just for her but for all who supported her.
Anne Marie Barron lived a life that exemplified the beauty of simplicity, the strength of kindness, and the joy of community. Her legacy is one of love, dedication, and the pure happiness that she spread to everyone she encountered. She was a phenomenal example of how to live a fulfilling life regardless of circumstance. As we say goodbye to Anne Marie, we celebrate the light she brought into the world and the memories we carry with us. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those she touched.
Visiting hours will be held at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home 326 Granite Ave. Milton Saturday December 13th from 9:00-10:00am. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Agatha Parish Milton at 10:30am. Burial private at a later date.
