Anne Oldham Baucom

DURHAM – Anne Oldham Baucom, 83, passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2025 at Duke Regional Hospital, surrounded by her family. She was born in Chatham County to the late Herbert Woodrow and Annie Mae Oldham. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Baucom is preceded in death by her brother, Paul Oldham, and sister, Sue Parrott.
Mrs. Baucom is survived by her husband of 59 years, William "Bill" Randall Baucom; daughter, Kim Baucom Thompson; son, Chris Baucom; grandchild, Calvin Thompson; brother, Larry Oldham; sister, Peggy Oldham. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom she adored.
Anne studied cosmetology and carried her love of skincare all her life. She had several part-time jobs through the years, but her main love and focus was being a wife, Mom, homemaker, and Grandmother to her precious Grandson Calvin. Anne was an incredible cook and loved to bake homemade sourdough bread. She was also a professional cake decorator. Anne was told many times in her life that her house was so clean you could eat off her floors, and it was true. She had a great sense of humor and could talk to anyone. She always had a way of making people feel special. Anne was a "Mama Bear" and fiercely loyal to those in her circle. She loved bingo, chocolate milkshakes, cookies, and Patsy Cline. Anne was very loved and will be missed.
A celebration of life will take place in the spring at Runnymede in Rougemont. More details to follow at a later date.
