Anne Estelle Drexler, born on November 3, 1940, in Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on July 2, 2025.
A devoted wife to her husband, Thomas Drexler Sr., with whom she shared nearly 61 years of marriage, Anne was the embodiment of warmth and affection. Her greatest joy came from nurturing her family, and she deeply loved spending time with her children: Mary Beth (Patrick) Mueller, Thomas (Jada) Drexler Jr., and Andrew (Laura) Drexler. She also delighted in being a grandmother to Amanda (Josh) Brown, Angela (Jimmy) Mueller, Ryan (Elaina) Mueller, Thomas Drexler, Justin Drexler, Zachary (Mackenzie) Drexler, Jordan Drexler, and Lindsey Drexler, and treasured each moment spent with her great-grandchildren, Jack, Maggie, Lucas, Charlotte, Easton, and Zane.
Anne worked many years for Sears Department Stores until her retirement. She always loved a good shopping trip and enjoyed playing Bunco with the close-knit groups she was part of, where laughter and camaraderie were at the heart of every game. As a life-time member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Anne's faith was a guiding force in her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bertrand Charlton Sr. and Julia Huckleberry Charlton; and her brother, Bertrand Charlton Jr.
Anne's presence will be profoundly missed, yet her spirit will continue to live on through the love she fostered within her family and the countless lives she touched.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Friday, July 11, 2025 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will be at 12:00 pm on Friday, at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest privately at Walnut Ridge Cemetery.
