SR. MARY PHILIP CHARLES
Of Waltham, peacefully entered eternal life in the loving arms of her God on Thursday, May 2nd, 2024 in the comfort of Care Dimensions Hospice House in Lincoln at the age of 88.
Born on January 25, 1936 in Framingham; beloved daughter of the late Philip Charles Dupuis and Eva Rose (Lavalee) Dupuis. Sister Anne was the eldest of 2 girls, her sister, Mary Ellen, predeceased her.
Sister Anne entered the Marist Missionary Sisters of the Society of Mary on October 7, 1959 and was professed on March 9, 1962. Her first assignment was to Staten Island, N.Y., for service to the Marist Fathers.
In 1964, Sister Anne was missioned to Jamaica to work in Hansen Home until 1967. Sister Anne returned to the United States and attended Bentley College in Waltham from 1968 to 1971; and was then missioned to the Fiji Islands where she taught from 1971 until 1977. Sister Anne returned back to the United States in 1977 for her home visit and became Financial Administrator of MaristHill Nursing Home where she worked until 1981.

n 1981, after a Renewal time spent in Colorado, Sister gave community service in the Grove Street, Lexington, and Belmont communities. In 1991, Sister Anne was missioned to the Virgin Islands until 1992. Upon her return to the United States, Sister Anne worked for Catholic Charities in Berlin, N.H. for a year.
The years of 1994-1998 had Sister caring for her father and step-mother, Mary, until their death in 1998. Sister was missioned to Naples, Florida in 1998 to work with Catholic Charities of Collier County and worked in the Parish Ministry with the Senior population until 2002. Sister Anne moved to Tampa, Florida to live in the Rocky Creek Retirement Village where she lived from 2004 until 2011. Sister returned to Massachusetts to live in 62 community: giving service there. In 2022, Sister moved to the Marillac Assisted Living facility in the Wellesley Hills, MA.
Sister Anne is survived by a niece, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and their families as well as her loving & devoted Community of Marist Missionary Sisters. They will all miss her dearly.
Relatives & Friends are respectfully invited to attend a Mass of the Resurrection in celebration of Sister Anne's Life at the Marist Missionary Sisters Residence, 62 Newton St, Waltham on Tuesday morning May 7th at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in the Marist Missionary Sisters Lot at Saint Patrick's Cemetery in Watertown. Visiting Hours will be held prior to the Funeral Mass in the Marist Missionary Sisters Residence from 9:00 am -10:30 am.

I do not really know Sister Anne. I am mindful of you, her family and Sisters today as I just saw the obituary. I will be thinking of you as you prepare for Mass and visiting on Tuesday. love and prayers, Joan
