Anne K. Ehrlich, formally of Wilson, Kansas, passed away on January 3, 2026, at the Harry Hynes Memorial Center in Wichita, Kansas, at the age of 89. She was born on February 7, 1936, to Emil W and Rose M (Mattas) Podlena in Ellsworth, Kansas. She was married on October 25, 1975, to Darrell D. Ehrlich at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Wilson. He preceded her in death on October 22, 2018.
She grew up in Wilson and graduated from Wilson High School in 1954. She was a homemaker and devoted mother. Anne was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Hutchinson. She was active in Daughters of Isabella.
Anne was a woman who lived to help others. She had a naturally caring heart and was always thinking of how she could support, comfort, or uplift those around her. Helping people brought her true joy.
Anne is survived by her children, Chris (Darrel) Rizley of Wichita, Richard Ehrlich of Hutchinson, David (Connie) Ehrlich of Lawrence, Laura (Kurt) Holland of Wichita, Jane (Roy) Soukup of Hays; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; siblings, Sr. Loretta Podlena of Great Bend and Emily Zorn of Hoisington.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Helen Soukup and Mary Barta; brother Bill Podlena.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at 10:30 AM, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Wilson. Burial will follow at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Cemetery in Wilson. Visitation will be on Tuesday 6-7 PM with a vigil service at 7 pm all at the funeral home in Wilson.
