Anne Maxwell Obituary
She attended Alexis DuPont High School and graduated in 1959. In 1962, she graduated from Wilmington General Hospital as a registered nurse, and in 2002 earned her BSN in nursing from Wilmington University. After her tenure at Wilmington General Hospital, she continued her career at Emily Bissell Hospital long term care as a unit nurse and the Delaware Psychiatric center as a quality assurance nurse.
Anne Marie married James Clifford Maxwell in 1968 and he preceded her death in 2003. Survivors include their three daughters, Bernardette Maxwell, Jennifer and her husband Mark McWilliams, and Melissa Maxwell; grandchildren, Larry "Joey" and Larissa Parks; and step-grandchildren, Rachael Lengel and Tyler McWilliams.
A mass of Christian burial will be held May 21st at 11 a.m. at Resurrection Church (3000 Videre Drive). A viewing will be held on Monday, May 20th, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home (3710 Kirkwood Hwy.) Burial follows at Saint Patrick's Cemetery (1528 Ashland Clinton School Road). In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Anne Marie's name to the Humane Animal Partners.
