Anne Rinaldo Obituary
Anne Rinaldo, 61, of Varna Illinois, died on July 29, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family. Born on January 24, 1962 in Peoria to William and Sharon (Bestold) Wood, she married Brian Rinaldo on November 28, 1987 at the Lacon Country Club. Brian died on September 5, 2017.
Anne was the second-generation owner of Club Lacon restaurant in Lacon after her father, William “Woody” Wood. Anne and Woody ran the restaurant together for over 20 years before he passed in 2013. She carried on that tradition for 10 more years.
She enjoyed working in her yard, collecting Longaberger baskets and attending their corporate events before she eventually spent all of her spare time running the restaurant.
Anne is survived by her mother Sharon (Bill) Plikerd of Newark Ohio, Children Brandi (Matt) Blunier of Lacon, Tabatha (James) Spencer of Savannah Georgia, Jessica (Jake) Jackson of Lacon, Kieron (Hilary) Rinaldo of Metamora Illinois, Katie (Shawn) Coon of Newark; sisters Kelly Thornton of Lawrence Kansas, Marcy (Jake) Hendershot of Zanesville Ohio; grandchildren Payton, Jasmine, Kyler, Aubrey, Bryce, Jaide, Porter, Piper, Wyatt, Harper, Bristol, and Kohen
Cremation rites have been accorded and visitation will be held on Friday, August 4 from 4 to 6 PM at Lenz Memorial Home in Lacon. Private family burial will be held later in the Lacon Cemetery. Online condolences can be left at lenzmemorialhome.com.
