Ronald Louis Holmstrom

Ronald "Hawk" Louis Holmstrom, 71, of Henry, Illinois, died on January 18, 2026 at his residence. Born on November 2, 1954 in Spring Valley, Illinois to the late Charles and Phyllis (Shirley) Holmstrom. He married Debra Wilkins and had four children. He later married Joan (Maupin) Endress on August 29, 1998 in Varna, Illinois. She survives.
Also surviving are his daughter Jennifer Fristoe of Lacon; sons Ryan of Henry, Kevin and Ross both of Lacon; stepdaughters Jennifer (Robert) Williams of Henry, Renee (Lawrence) Rowe of Henry, Amy (Ross) Newhalfen of Henry; sister Christine Schoepke of Varna; brother James (Debra) Holmstrom of Janesville, Wisconsin, 18 grandchildren, four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Ron was a farmer and loved working the land. He also owned and operated Hawk Tire in Henry. He was a foreman at JT Fennell weld shop for over 30 years. Ron loved working on stuff around the farm and enjoyed a good old western on TV. Hawk was rarely seen without his loyal companion, Annie, by his side.
Visitation will be held on January 22 from 4 to 6 PM at Lenz Memorial Home in Lacon. Cremation rites will be accorded and graveside services will be held at a later date. Memorials can be made to the ARK animal kennel and online condolences can be left at lenzmemorialhome.com.
