Anne B. Thill

Anne Thill died peacefully November 19th at the age of 90.
Anne Thill was the daughter and only child born to Cecilia and Howard Barnes of South Bend Indiana. She was born August 22nd, 1935.
As a young girl she was strong, determined, loved her studies and her Catholic Faith. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Saint Mary's of Notre Dame. From college she went on to teach elementary school.
She met her husband Charles Franklin Thill at a South Bend Country Club dance. They married on December 29th, 1958 and had five children.
She gave to her community always. When raising her family, she helped numerous single pregnant women by providing them her home, to support them during their pregnancy, and their choice for adoption.
Anne and Chuck were also involved with an annual Christmas fundraiser for a local orphanage.
She was involved with numerous ministries at Saint Raphael's Church, one of the longstanding ministries was volunteering at a local nursing home bringing prayer and communion to the residents.
She was an ambassador to her community of Bay Village for nearly 20 years as the Welcome Wagon Hostess. She loved welcoming the new people to Bay Village as she loved her community.
Anne was preceded in death by her husband Charles Franklin Thill, her parents Howard and Cecilia Barnes. She is survived by her children Laurel Thill, Lisa Beh, Jane Thill, Christine and Courtney Gasper and Charles H. Thill. And grandchildren Kathryn and Chase Gasper and Shannon and Max Beh.
Funeral Mass at St. Raphael Church 525 Dover Center Road, Bay Village on Saturday, December 13 at 10:30am. Friends may call at the church from 9:30 until time of Mass. Interment on Monday, December 15 at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, OH.
