Anne M. Ward, 93, of Monroe Township, passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at the Parker Home at Monroe in Monroe Township, NJ.

Anne was a beloved mother, wife, and cherished friend who will be remembered fondly for her unwavering spirit, warmth, and dedication to her family and community. Born in Newark, NJ, Anne grew up in a close-knit family that embodied strong Catholic Scottish values, shaping her compassionate heart and generous nature.

Anne was the proud mother of Daniel Rigelon, born from her first marriage. In 1973, she married Robert E. Ward Sr., fondly known to friends and family as Bob Sr. Together, they created a loving home in Clearbrook, Monroe, NJ, where they were among the original residents, sharing over 40 joyful years together until Bob's passing in 2013. Anne, though faced with the sorrow of losing her beloved husband, remained a pillar of strength and resilience.

She worked at Provident Bank for several years before joining Bob in his real estate endeavors at Levinson Realty, where they flourished as a husband-and-wife team for 15 years. Her dedication to her work and community was evident through her many contributions, particularly her involvement with church committees at Nativity of Our Lord R.C. Church in Monroe, NJ. Her friendly disposition allowed her to forge many connections, making her a familiar and cherished presence within her church family.

Anne's passions were as vibrant as her personality. An outgoing soul, she welcomed conversations with strangers and delighted in outings for lunch or leisurely drives. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, music, and engaging in arts and crafts, bringing joy both to herself and those around her. Despite the challenges posed by advanced dry retina myopathy and low vision, which eventually limited her ability to drive and read, her spirit remained unyielded.

Predeceased by her parents, John and Alice (O'Hare) Connelly, her husband, Robert E. Ward, Sr.; her five siblings; and her step son, Robert E. Ward, Jr.; and her step-daughter, Diane Ward. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Daniel Rigelon and Irene Gerbaud; her step-son, Chris Ward and his wife Robin; her step-daughter-in-law, Kathy Ward; her five step-grandchildren; and her six step-great-grandchildren.

Cremation services were held privately under the direction of the Simplicity Funeral and Cremation Services of Hightstown, New Jersey.
