Anne Elizabeth Cowart Wooldridge August 9, 1938 – October 7, 2025
Anne Elizabeth Cowart Wooldridge, 87, of Woodstock, Georgia, passed away peacefully on October 7 surrounded by her loving family.
Born on August 9, 1938, in Ringgold, Georgia, Anne was the first member of her family to graduate from college, earning her degree in education. In 1962, Anne married the love of her life, Don Wooldridge. As a devoted military wife, she embraced the adventure of moving to several East Coast duty stations while raising their young family. Following Don's military retirement, they settled in Woodstock, Georgia, where Anne poured her heart into homemaking, crafting and gardening. Above all things, she enjoyed spending time with family, and she adored her grandchildren. Her creativity was widely admired-most memorably when the City of Woodstock recognized Anne and Don for their Christmas yard display, complete with a hand-painted nativity scene and snowman family. Anne was a faithful member of Sandy Plains Baptist Church, where she found joy in her faith, fellowship and service.
She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Don Wooldridge; children Kathy Ray (Kelly), David Wooldridge (Beth), and Amy Adams (Eric); sisters Sarah Denton, Becky Gardner, and Margaret Hulsey, Stephen Cowart (deceased); five grandsons, two granddaughters, and two great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, October 9 at 10:30 a.m. at Sandy Plains Baptist Church in Marietta, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Anne's memory to MUST Ministries (www.mustministries.org ) or Operation Shoebox (www.operationshoebox.com).
Please note "In memory of Anne Wooldridge" and request that an acknowledgment be sent to Amy Adams at [email protected]. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
