Anneliese Dietrich Obituary

Anneliese "Omi" Dietrich, a native of Germany born in 1934, passed away on December 28, 2023 at the Highlands of Wyomissing. Known affectionately as Omi to her family, Anneliese embodied a spirit of unwavering strength and a determination in the face of adversity, while always greeting people with a smile. Her profound love of family and close friends will leave a lasting impact. In addition to her cherished roles of daughter, sister, mother and grandmother, Anneliese served others in various paid and unpaid capacities throughout her life - as a driver of students, an appraiser for upholstery work, a clerk for a fine jewelry seller, a hostess at Berkshire Country Club, and a member of the Whitfield Women's Club. Her memory will serve as an inspiration, and the traits and character she instilled in her family will live on. May she rest in peace. She is survived by four sons and their wives: David and Roxanne Weaver, Mark Weaver and Donna Shoemaker, Scott and Debbie Weaver, and Blair and Kathy Weaver. In addition, she is survived by a close family member, Art Moore; eight grandchildren: Ryan, Kara, Kaitlin, Lakin, Colton, Chelsea, Louis and Alyse; and 13 great grandchildren: Nathan, Bennett, Owen, Kailee, Cole, Aiden, Cayson, Rylan, Coleson, Quentin, Lorelei, Carson and Jackson. She was predeceased by two husbands, Earl Weaver and William Dietrich. A prayer service will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at 11:00 am in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc. 739 Penn Avenue West Reading, PA 19611. The family will receive friends and relatives from 10:00 am until the time of service. Burial will be private. Anneliese was a good friend of my recently departed mother, Carol, since they were neighbors in West Reading in the early 1950s. Always a great person, she will be missed.
