Anneliese Weingartner Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by The Wood Mortuary, Inc. - Greer on Jan. 22, 2025.
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Anneliese Curry Weingartner on January 21, 2025. Born on July 30, 1947, in Philadelphia, Anneliese was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose warmth and dedication touched countless lives.
A graduate of West Chester University, Anneliese earned her Master's degree in education and shared her passion for learning as a sixth-grade teacher at Cheltenham Elementary School. Beyond her career in education, she poured her heart into her community through her entrepreneurial spirit, running a series of beloved local businesses, including a dress shop, bed & breakfast, restaurant, deli, and catering service.
Anneliese's love and devotion extended deeply to her family. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Reiner (Ray) Weingartner; her sons, Erik (Karen) and Kurt; and her cherished grandchildren, Zoë, Max, and Sophie. She is also remembered with love by her brother, Robert Curry (Meg) and their children, Robert IV, Maddy, and Tim, as well as her sister, Sue (Charles) and their children, Christopher, Kevin, and Keith.
Anneliese will be remembered for her unwavering kindness, entrepreneurial spirit, and the countless ways she enriched the lives of those around her. Her legacy of love and dedication will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 30, 2025, at Covenant Church.
The family asks those wishing to make a donation that they be made to Covenant Church, 1310 Old Spartanburg Rd, Greer, SC 29650.
