Annette Chase, age 64, of Cleveland, Ohio, passed away on February 10, 2026, after a battle with cancer. Annette was the daughter of Maria Hoge Hoffmann and the late Bruno Gustav Hoffmann, sister of Robert (Maryellen) and Martin (Jeannine) and aunt of Christian (William).
Annette was a teacher and activist who spent many years working to help children and teachers alike. Annette loved animals and rescued many during her lifetime. In her spare time, Annette was an avid geocacher. Annette was known for her bravery and was never afraid to ask questions or stand up for things she believed in.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at 11 a.m., at St. Ignatius of Antioch 10205 Lorain Ave, Cleveland, OH 44111. Private interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Annette’s memory may be made to Rose’s Rescue at https://www.rosesrescue.net/
