Annette Cheever Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by McNearney - Schmidt Funeral and Cremation on Dec. 6, 2025.
Annette Marie (Ring) Cheever, age 65, of Shakopee, MN, passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at her home.
Annette was born in Shakopee, on March 2, 1960, the daughter of Harold "Butch" and Shirley (Barber) Ring. She married Jeff Cheever on June 2, 1979, in Shakopee.
Annette liked reading (especially Stephen King novels), crossword puzzles, and being a Cub Scout Den Mother. Although she didn't like cut fresh flowers, she really enjoyed spending time with her mom tending to her vegetable garden. When Jeff, Jr. was young, she had fun watching him race BMX bikes, and that love of racing continued as she was a fan of NASCAR and her favorite driver was Michael Waltrip in the #15 car. She also volunteered at the Scott County Fair, and helped with the demolition derby. Annette also enjoyed planning family gatherings, and especially the Christmas parties.
She is survived by her husband, Jeff, Sr.; son, Jeff, Jr.; siblings, Sharon (Ronald) Rognile, Renita Jones, and John Ring; and mother-in-law, Joyce Cheever. Preceded in death by her parents, Butch and Shirley Ring; and father-in-law, Richard Cheever.
She was everything to everybody......she took care of everyone and will be missed dearly.
Public Visitation Tuesday, December 9, 2025, from 4-8 PM, at McNearney-Schmidt Funeral and Cremation, 1220 3rd Ave. East, Shakopee. A Private Family Prayer Service will be held at McNearney-Schmidt. Interment Catholic Cemetery, Shakopee.
