Annette married the love of her life George B. Clark on October 28, 1955, marking the beginning of a deep and enduring partnership that defined her life’s happiest moments. After her marriage, she joined the Order of the Eastern Star and set off on a 55-year journey with Chapter 626 that included two terms as Worthy Matron and her most esteemed and recent distinction, Grand Chapter Sweetheart of Texas.
Outside of her service to Eastern Star and Northside Baptist Church, she devoted herself to her family and her cattle (whom she lovingly called her “girls”).
Her children; sons George and Clayton and his wife Dianna; daughters Elizabeth Bolen and Judy Gallagher and her husband Thomas; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren survive her. Pallbearers include Cory Clark, Thomas Gallagher, Tommy Gallagher, John Hatcher, Brandon Manderville, and Dan O'Meara. Honorary pallbearers include William Clark, Douner Honeycutt, Anthony Hebert, Ron Kennedy, and Lex Odom.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Eastern Star Chapter 626, Northside Baptist Church, or the charity of your choice.
Her family would like to give a special thanks to her longtime friend Sharon Willingham.
