Mrs. Annette Juneth Davis-Pontoon (affectionately known as Weasel), the eldest of five daughters of the late Mr. Eddie Lee and Janie Mae Daily Willis was born August 25, 1962, in Boston Massachusetts. On Wednesday morning, at the Brigham & Women's Hospital, Boston, MA, an Angel whispered, "Sleep my child, for I have come to take you home; rest my child and listen to that sweet melody, It is well with my soul."
Annette grew up in the Mission Hill Development of Roxbury Massachusetts. After completing high school, she continued her studies at various institutions. Having been reared in a Christian home with a loving and influential mother and grandmother, she learned the values of serving God at an early age. While living in Massachusetts she was affiliated with several churches..
She was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Ervin Davis on January 24, 1983. This union was blessed with a loving and devoted daughter. The family relocated to Virginia shortly thereafter while serving in the military.
Annette lived in Fort Gordon, GA and later relocated to Jacksonville, Florida where she resided for many years... On June 4, 1994, she was joined in holy matrimony to Zemulist Pontoon, Sr. This union was blessed with two bonus sons.
Annette has always been business-oriented and possessed the skills needed to succeed in the entire business arena. Her passion as a business owner inspired her to pursue ownership in several businesses. She established several businesses in Jacksonville, Florida including a florist and a boutique (227 Boutique) for which she catered to both in-store and online clients. Annette was also employed as a Resolution Specialist for various agencies.
In 2022, she and her husband followed their dreams, built their dream home, and relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, where she resided prior to her passing. While living in Atlanta, she decided to expand her business.
Annette leaves to share precious memories: Her husband of 30 years, Mr. Zemulist Pontoon, Sr., of the home; a loving daughter; Mrs. Chanel Davis (Michael Jr.) Johnson of Jacksonville, FL; two precious and adorable grandsons, Alfred Scott IV and Michael Johnson III, both of Jacksonville, FL; two bonus sons, Mr. Zemulist Pontoon, Jr. of Florida and Jason Pontoon of Hawaii; four loving sisters, Ms. Phyllis Willis of Randolph, MA, Ms. Cynthia Willis and Florette Willis, both of Worcester, MA, and Ms. Sherry Willis of Boston, MA; her mother-in-law, Ms. Martha P. Batey of Aiken, SC; four loving aunts, Mrs. Christine Daily Sparks (whom she forever regarded as a second mother) of Brockton, MA, Mrs. Deloris Daily (Theodore) Jamison of Holly Hill, SC, Ms. Mary Cook of Detroit, MI; and Ms. Jestine Sapp of Aiken, SC; three loving uncles, Retired Orangeburg County Summary Court Magistrate, Samuel (Lue) Daily of Holly Hill, SC, Mr. Moses Willis of Georgia, and Mr. Kris Edwards of Germany; one great aunt, Ms. Willie Mae Dailey of Holly Hill, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and friends.
