Annette Marie "Strebinger" Heminger

Annette Marie (Strebinger) Heminger, cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2025, at the age of 75, in her hometown of South Bend, IN, where she was also born to the late Robert and Marilyn (Bill) Strebinger on August 9, 1950.

Annette's life was built on the foundation of love, dedication, and the simple joys that come from family traditions. She was a guiding force in her family, married to her beloved husband, Robert "Bob" Heminger. Annette was the proud mother of daughters Anjela Reeves (Anthony), Karen Weller, Sherry Heminger, and son Jeff Heminger (Rachel). Her legacy of love is carried on through her cherished grandchildren Alan Reeves (Courtney), Alison Braunoehler (Frederick), Anthony Reeves Jr. (Amanda Horvath), Rachael Reeves (Joshua), Samantha Clark (Joshwa Brittain), Michael Heminger, and Caroline Heminger, as well as her adored great-grandchildren Cadence, Alexsia, Emma, Trenten, Elivia, Adelaide, Zoey, Adalina, Jace, Colton, Lilith, Anthony III, Paityon, Aeris, and Dean. She is also survived by her siblings, Dave (Patti), Marcia (Ed), Paul, Kevin (Kay), and Sharon.

After completing her high school education, Annette found joy in serving her community through her work at various retail stores and restaurants.

Annette had a passion for life that was reflected in her hobbies and interests. She eagerly awaited the holiday season each year, as it meant she could continue her tradition of making Christmas cookies with her grandchildren. Her handmade Christmas ornaments are treasures that will be cherished for generations, each one holding a piece of her heart and creativity. Annette also looked forward with great anticipation to her annual fishing trips to Canada, which were a source of relaxation and joy. She also looked forward to going to breakfast with her brother, Paul every other Sunday.

With Annette's departure, she leaves behind a tapestry of memories that will be fondly remembered and passed down through the stories told by her family and all who knew her.

Per Annette's wishes, cremation will take place. A celebration of Annette's life will be held at a later date. Palmer Funeral Home ~ Hickey Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
